Åben slå om, er den klassiske slå om nederdel, som lukkes med et bindebånd.
Lukket slå om, er en snyde slå om nederdel med en påsyet linning. Det vil sige at den ikke kan lukkes op. Du kan vælge at sætte et elastik i linningen
Du kan også sy den som en almindelig 1/2 sol nederdel med påsyet linning, uden slå om. Du kan vælge at sætte et elastik i linningen.
De kan alle syes i bomuldsjersey, viscosejersey eller en anden jersey med elastan/lycra.
Den åbne slå om nederdel, kan også syes i faste stofkvaliteter som falder flot, og ikke er for stive.
De 2 andre kan kun syes i jersey.
I vævede kvaliteter, er det en god idé at stryge vlieseline i bindebåndet.
